The children have settled in well after the half-term break and have been busy with their learning.

  • Willow class have been painting beautiful firework pictures this week, following up with bonfire night activities. Needless to say it’s been a messy week!

  • Oak class have been celebrating 'Día de los Muertos ', the Mexican celebration of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day, which involves family and friends gathering to pray for and to remember friends and family members who have died. Thank you for sending the children to school in their beautiful, colourful costumes.

  • Cherry class have been doing similar to Oak class with celebrations and sensory stories. They have been tasting Mexican style food and drink which they have enjoyed. Thank you for all of the children’s colourful costumes.

  • Hazel Class have been learning about the story ‘The Enormous Turnip’ which links to their topic on plants. They have also been learning about ordinal numbers so help them to order the characters in the story. The Children have been exploring seeds by finding them in pumpkins.
